My oldest granddaughter is in charge of naming. We went through all the Disney characters, then Frozen , classmates, teachers.

Latest black baldie calf . Mom was not happy with me snapping their picture off the tractor 
. Guy we rent from sold his mules and gave us 15 more acres to graze . Got some work getting it back in shape , Letting the cows get what grass is there , then bush hogging, lime and fertilizer.

First calf heifer , we bred 4 about 4 months earlier to a young bull we raised out of our Butkus bull . Took a chance he would be a heifer bull since his sire was . So far 3 have calved and all 3 were perfect size for heifers . #4 is springing and will calve soon . She looks better in person than in this pic !

Definitely ! Fellow lost all his barns , some of his cattle and horse/ mules in the terrible 2011 tornadoes that hit our area . I think he lost his passion for his farm . We have got the rest of the farm , about 80 acres back in good production for cattle but he just let us have this last pastures back in the fall .
