I'm proud of the country I am from and the fact that we choose to stand unarmed. just as my beliefs aren't tolerated there yours aren't tolerated here, but I still respect yours and I understand your point of view. I can't think of real examples but I know Canada has let down the USA on many occasions when we have been asked to stand and fight beside the USA. We send the Red Cross. We don't have the weapon power to fight beside America. I was born and raised on this philosophy you must have the slightest bit of understanding from that perspective. I'm sorry if I offended anyone for my beliefs, that was never intended. And I respect the apology I did get, so thank you.
Just to back you all up slightly about one comment I did get on here I'll give you a real life story about something that's happening to me right now.
We live in a nice community. We paid a lot of money for our place. A few months back about 3 refugee families moved right into our neighbourhood. 1 family is directly behind us. It is 1 women and 8 children ranging from the ages of 18-3 years old. We have a serious issue with these people. They have zero respect for us. We were in our back gardening playing a little country music and they literally grabbed a set of speakers to drain us out. They poke my dogs and throw things at them through the fence. I see the oldest boy smoking pot against our fence daily which is scary considering they just moved here and already got their hands on drugs. These are just a few examples but they are the neighbours from be nice. Yesterday my husband just about had it quits and he wanted to go over there and really let it known. I seriously begged him not to go. Why? Because I fear them. He told me its stupid and not rationalized but we've asked them nicely many times. I don't even know if they speak English as they just look at us blankley. I worry bcs of the violent country they came from. I picture them kicking my dog instead of poking it next time. Or maybe smashing the windows out of my house when we leave for work. Canada does make stupid choices. We are letting these families flood in left right and centre and you're right it is a problem I completely disagree with it. How am I supposed to be a good citizen and welcome them into our community when it's clear they offer me no respect. With the gun stuff I'm nieve I get it. I'm 28 years old and I still dream of world peace. I do wish for a world with no guns. Hate feeds hate, guns feed violence. I don't fear an argument with my fellow Canadians with weapons. I don't worry that if there is some road rage involved that person may have a gun in their car and I would if people were allowed to have them in their cars.
To bring up one other point mr illogical name caller brought up. Never lump France and Canada together. The vast majority of Canadians dispise the French culture. There may be similarities but most Canadians pray our French province gets separated from Canada myself included.
;-) Little more living under your belt, don't be surprised if your perspective of the world changes a little as well.
