Will be giving a shot of lutalyse to a couple heifers that a bull got ahold of and I was looking for information as to where the shot should be given. I know it needs to go into the muscle. Anything I need to watch for? It has been 3 weeks.

Thank for all the replies. Here we are roughly 24hrs. later and I don't see a whole lot of improvement. The eye still has a cloudy spot in the middle and there is still a little pink tissue towards the inside of the eye. It appears that the eye isn't tearing as much as it was yesterday though...

I have also found several articles stating that antibiotics generally aren't effective in the treatment of pinkeye. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. I would prefer to not drop $100 at the Vet. for something I could take care of.

I don't know for sure what he died from, I can only assume that it was probably from his injuries. It just seems really strange to me because I stopped by the feed store and picked up a bag of calf starter and he actually started eating on it pretty good and I also had him out of the barn stall...

Well, Im sorry to say that the calf died today some time around 3:00... What a way to end the day, just when I though we were almost out of the woods. :(

He now has 2qts. of milk replacer/elctrolytes in him and here in about an hour he is going to get his la-200 shot. It was actually pretty easy to tube feed him, not nearly as bad as I was guessing it was going to be. I guess we will see how the next 24-48hrs. goes. Thanks for all the help...

Thought about trying that but haven't yet. He is a pretty good size calve, about 80lbs. He will take the cow nipple but hangs his tongue out the side of his mouth. I guess I will try the sheep's nipple as that is the only thing I haven't tried.
