    Wild Hog Damage

I few infertile boars would do nothing to stop the rapid growth explosion of hogs. There are just too many of them. Constant hunting and trapping is going to be the best means of control, as I don't see how they could ever be eradicated. The thing with hogs is that they don't have a...

    Calf Tables

We've got 2 calf tables and I don't really care too much for them. They would come in handy if it were just me or just 2 people working calves but when there's 3 of us it's a whole lot faster and easier IMO to just throw the calves.

    Gas mileage

Thanks ya'll, that's pretty much what I thought. I just turned over 100,000 miles on it last month so it wouldn't be worth the $$$ to trade it in. I do tend to have a heavy foot at times but when it's late I just want to get home. I typicaly set the cruise at 65 when I'm on the highway but...

    Gas mileage

Does anyone know any ways to get better gas mileage out of your car? I was looking at all those bottles of "gas additives" that boast better performance and better gas mileage and was wondering if any of it is actually true. Also I've seen those open box air filter designs that say they will...

    Sprayer dye

I've used a product called "bigfoot" sprayer dye. It's blue. It does a good job but cost $15.00 per tank so I came up with the idea of mounting a 15 gallon sprayer on the back of the 300 gallon one and running 1 nozzel outto the end of the boom. It worked real good except when I hit a bump...

    Water Beds for Dairy Cows???

I don't see how only 14 gallons of water would make much of a difference, seems like the weight of the cow would displace that little amount of water enough that she would be laying practically on the concrete anyway.

Why was the calf buried upside down like that? Can you tell why she died?

I'm taking by the :( that she was dead? Did she have the calf, or can you tell?

Sidney, what did you conclude? (graphic photos no longer)

Well, I sure hope you do find her. It $ucks to loose a young one like that. It's been over 2 months since mine went missing and still no clue. There's 120 acres she's in somewhere, but I've searched and searched. Maybe one day I'll come across a pile of bones, maybe not.

Sidney, what did you conclude? (graphic photos no longer)

I have no clue Beefy! I have still never found not hide nor hair of that cow. That calf I posted about that went down was hers and I ended up putting him down about 2 weeks ago now. I've checked all the fences and found no spot where it looks like she would have went through. I've never seen...

    Working Famlies and Cattle.

It is very difficult to make it now a days. I see so many people that are living paycheck to paycheck and I have to admit I've been there and am very close to it right now. My husband and I are able to carpool at the time being, but his and my job hours and/or schedules can change at a moments...

    Finding Pasture for lease?

I have found some in the local paper and I have also found some by going to the real estate offices and asking them if they know of anyone who needs cattle on their place for ag use. Give them my number for anyone who buys land and needs cattle on it too.

    Are they working?

Working good except for a couple times I've gotten the message that the board was too busy, I just figgured the web bots were crawling.

    $1200 check from the govt?

Have ya'll heard about this supposedly $1200 check (for a married couple, $600 for single + $300 per child) we're supposed to be getting somewhere about June? I'd be happy to see the money but somehow I don't think that it is going to stop a recession. What do you think?

    I-69 Trans Texas Corridor

Samm - that was the same way at this meeting I went to. The only reason their doing these meetings is because it is mandated. They really aren't listening to us and i'm sure they already have it all set as to what they are going to do. Mike, just google I-69 or trans texas corridor and you...

    I-69 Trans Texas Corridor

The whole thing last night was practically a joke. There were somewhere in the amount of 1500 +- people there and that was the closest I've ever been to such a "political" meeting. They just sat up there looking board and disinterested while citizens poured their hearts out. It was really...
