if it makes you sleep better at night to say not paying taxs on a bag of feed is the same are the goverment paying half of what you do to your farm then by all means go ahead....

dont think giving you money to build a pond or fix your land is the same as medicare to take care of the elderly...and to be honest...you problay are better taken care of by the goverment then they are

to compare not paying tax on our feed, to taking a check from the taxpayers is not even close!!! i might not pay tax on my feed, but at least im buying my own!

we own 160 ac. and wouldnt take a dime from the taxpayers...i agree with caustic..why should we pay for others farms when its hard enough for us to pay for our own!

if you make and how much money you make in cattle is up to you...its how big you want to get...me and my wife both work other jobs...we run about 30-50 head at any given time and we do make money at it...BUT...the reason we do is cause we choose to stay small...i dont have hay equiment, heck...

i have been feeding them a calf treet grain which is 15.00 a hundred..corn here is about 11 a hundred...would they gain better on the corn? i have been feeding the other cause someone told me its better..
