    Bad wheel

I'm sure baytril probably will do some good, it's a broad spectrum antibiotic, but use of baytril for anything other than respiratory disease is prohibited by law. Nuflor works well for footrot.

    ECP

Talk to your vet, I'm sure he/she has one and would be happy to let you borrow it.

    warts

There is a vaccine for warts, it is of limited value, possibly does some good. Time works better than anything.

    keep open cows?

Keep them a couple more months and preg check them then. That way they'll either be bred like you want or you can sell them when the cull market is hopefully on the upswing. I wouldn't routinely keep open cows because you'll just eventually propagate an infertility problem in your herd through...

Calf with nose skin peeling off & possibly scours

If he's premature then that can account for his nose peeling after a few days. Alot of premature calves are immunocompromised and have a tough time making it. Electrolytes and I'd probably give him an antibiotic like nuflor, excede or a few days of excenel/naxcel, banamine and antiserum of E...

Cows in the grain - suggestions?

I'd mix a small box of baking soda with 5 gallons of water and tube her to correct the acidosis. Also give some type of probiotic like probiocin to replenish rumen bugs, couple days of banamine for toxemia/septicemia and broad spectrum antibiotic like Nuflor, LA 200 or Tetradure. Watch for...

extremely large lump on cows jaw...

If swelling is firm like bone, likely lumpy jaw. If swelling is soft could be just an abscess. Either way, I'd treat with IV sodium iodide and LA 200 or better yet Tetradure. If you absolutely cannot catch her you could medicate in feed with chlortetracycline/oxytetracycline and organic...

    sick calves

No, that's not what they said. They said it was a type of chloramphenicol analog that lasts 14 days, both of which are not true. Draxxin has a slow absorption from injection site so it takes a few days to start working, whereas baytril acts more quickly. This is the main complaint from people...

    sick calves

Draxxin is a macrolid type of antibiotic, similar to Micotil. A one time dosage lasts around a week.

health & Nutrition Grown cow sucking cow just before cal

Colostrum isn't something that she'll just produce more of this quickly. You'll need to find an another source for this calf or he'll likely be deficient.

    sick calves

Draxxin is supposed to be the new thing for Mycoplasma infection, but I haven't found anything that works too well. Once they get lame they usually don't get well.

    Odd 600 weight problem

Bloat-EZ only works on frothy types of bloat, which are mostly caused by dietary issues such as grazing some types clovers or other types of legumes or lush grass. Piercing is used for free gas bloat, usually caused by some type of obstruction or failure to eructate or burp. Sounds like free...

    sick calves

Try oral nuflor (same dosage as one day therapy) and banamine (1cc per 100 pounds). I'd talk to your vet about vaccinating for cows for scours next year before calving.

    Bottle calf constipated?

Fleet enemas usually work too. You can buy them at the pharmacy. Try adding a little karo syrup to the formula a few days to prevent this from happening.

    What are the odds?

acutally uterine prolapses are not as likely to occur again as are cervical or vaginal prolapses, also can be associated with calcium deficiency. What kind of mineral supplementation program do you use?
