there are parts of eastern Oklahoma (Muskogee to the Kansas border) that are still without power

the rural areas were hit hard -
an area west of us had 28 poles in a row that the ice toppled

(the storm hit Jan 12-13)

Having had a small taste and briefly (this time) of what ice can do I was thinking that there must be others in both MO, and OK that still aren;t able to let us, as if we really matter in the scope of things, or their familys/loved ones know what the situation is.
In this area there are still folks without power or phone and there is talk that it may take another 30 days till everyone is restored. I know that there are areas that got hit a lot worse then we did here.
