You crossed a red and white longhorn with a black angus??
Is there any pics of this cross??

hmmmm... yep, i was thinking of a pretty black calf but hadnt thought about about the skinny butt.
I kinda want to use a longhorn as one of my breeder cows and I am trying to think of a good cross besides char.

You would get a nice calf that may or may not be polled according to whether the Angus was pure or not. I've seen these crosses that were black and looked like an Angus and I've seen them that came out black and white spotted or linebacked. As far as the butt it depends on the blood line of the Longhorn being used. People who don't know anything about this breed and who always use the same stereotype always think bony and scrawny and that's quite untrue. Cattle from the Phillips and Peeler bloodlines were bred for beef production from the get go and are beefy type animals.
