Deb Copenhaver past away. He was one of the best bronc riders to ever set on top of one. I had the good fortune to have known him. He was a great bronc rider and an even better man.

He was before my time... But I use too watch his Son Jeff, calf rope..preacher friend of mine use to hang out with him, when he lived in Stephenville...gotta a good ministry ..

He was before my time too. Although I did see him on one of his last broncs in '73 (he would have been 48 yo) that is a pretty good story in itself. He had a cafe in a small town west of Spokane. Every time we went through there we would stop in. We would no more than sit down and he would come and sit with us and ask questions about how things were going, who was winning, where we had been and where we were going. In the early 80's(?) he gave his life to the Lord. Sold the cafe, said you can't serve the Lord and sell booze. He helped Jeff build a church in Texas.
