Hi everyone,
What vitamins do you suggest for beef cattle, and how often should it be given to them? I was told that they will gain more weight per day and it's healthier for the cows long term when calving season arrives.
We have cows which are divided into two herds and one herd of steers(all are grass fed) Usually our dry season is from April until August(Guatemala) which is when they all loose ALOT of weight, up to the point where you can count their ribs, and other bones as well, supplying them with additional feed is not an option due to high cost for now, Currently planting Cuba grass OM-22 (Pennisetum purpureum × Pennisetum glaucum) to see how it grows and how much drymass I can get from a sq meter. What I did find out is that Vitamins here are 3.5X cheaper than down there, I'm using the Www.pbsanimalhealth.com website to compare prices. We are giving them mineral salts not the high end brand which we just started for the first time in April of this year. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
