Use of Vitamin A

I've read where it's good to give pregnant cows/heifers a shot of Vitamin A several weeks before calving for the calve's sake. Can it be used at other times for other uses? It only comes in 250 ml vials and I'm concerned about the shelf life. Thanks!

Use to give every dairy cow a shot of Vitamin A-D when we dried them up and another shot after the calved.

I add a, d and e mineral supplement to every batch of mineral I mix up, year round.

I give a Vitamin A&D shot at birth. Can't prove that it helps but I sure believe it does.
