This week brought a couple new surprises. Had two heifers that were due that came early. The first was 30 days early from A.I. date and the other a week early.

The thirty day one caught us by total surprise got home from out of town and was a baby running around. The other was watching but not showing no signs of about to have it, she was getting a little loose in back end but all was fine in the morning and she had it around 5 p.m. that night with out us knowing.

Picture of 30 day early calf she is 5 days old in this picture she is 7/8 Angus 1/8 Maine out of new Angus Bull "Old School"

I am jealous, I have to wait another 8 1/2 months to see my first babies.

Nice looking little ones, good luck with them.

Ok I got to quit calling everything she! The second calf is a bull calf the top one is a heifer. And we are retaining all heifers. The Bull calf will probably either be shown as a steer or be sold in future. I did not weigh them, and I am terrible at guessing weight.
