To feed extra billions of people, we need more small farms. And global warming is our biggest problem. (It's freaking cold in W. Lafayette tonite). I think I see dirt moving above Earl Butz' grave.

OK, I always thought Harkin was a decent guy, until he got a job with this administration. He has become the proverbial "useful idiot".

He didn't mention 'organic" that I see, but I'm sure he implied it.
 
Somebody should remind him that if the extra billions don't have the money to pay for the food, it won't matter who is producing it.
 
Many of those extra billions won't need $$ Aaron--they will use yours and mine and everyone else's. That, is what wealth re-distribution is all about.

Weren't they supposed to use "carbon credits" to pay for it?
