Fall sale schedule for tomorrow at the West Auction Barn, West, Texas which is about 12-15 miles north of Waco on Interstate 35. I beleive the catalog said they had about 20+ registered bulls, 35 registered cattle and over 400 good commercial already consigned.

are you gonna try an buy an reg cow or 2.

Bought 4 bred commercial heifers BB...only gave $850 for them. Prices were wayyyyy down. I missed the early part of the sale but if the top cows sold no better than the others I'd say that all sellers were very disappointed.

Those prices look comparable to a sale I saw on the internet yesterday from Enid, OK. Unfortunately, reality has set in and people have just about figured out that calf prices are capped at what an $85 per cwt fat cattle market will bear. It doesn't matter what it costs us to raise a calf, the final product (fat cattle) is going to sell for around $85 per cwt. live weight give or take $3 per cwt.
