Taking Medication

wow they were gonna put me on that if i didnt get better my heart was baggy and wasnt firm. I responded really well to my meds and diet and walking so I never got the defibulator. Yea i would be happy for insurance then too. My friend has one that he wears on his hip everyday its big box until they put in a defibulator in his chest.

Sky, I think the thing about a-fib is that it is undiagnosed until we're older and it causes something specific.
I've had a very fast heart rate my whole life. Never gave it much thought until I was over 40. A-fib is just something else to live with and manage. I watch my diet and activity level.
I don't take anything daily for any issues. Just when and as needed.

For anyone using NSAID's daily...talk to your doctor about alternatives. They're great for occasional use, but daily use will eventually do to you what happened to CB.
Aleve, motrin, advil ....They are all very hard on the stomach and the damage is never completely reversed.

My resting heat beat is right at 100.. Have asked Doc about it and she just sort of shrugs and says nothing to worry about.

Mine is 52 that is why I can't take most pain meds as they slow me down into the 40's. I rode a bike ten miles a day for years along with running up until I got in my 50's. Physical last year Doc had a little intern in training she introduced me, the proceeded to tell the intern I had the heart of a 16 year old the metabolism of a man in my 40's then the shoe falls. Next words out of her mouth is his back is completely wore out. Motor and the tires are fine the transmission is shot.

Dam cb. For some reason that's funny as all get out.

CB has a special way of puttin' things that make'em funny even tho it hurts. CB good news is, you'll probably live to be 100.....bad news is you'll be in constant pain. :cry2: :cry2:

Me too. My pacemaker keeps my heart around 70 bpm at rest. Very seldom gets over 100.

I just called in this morning and ordered 10 prescription refills which did not count my inhalers. Sheesh, you people are amateurs when it comes to taking drugs! :P :P :P :P

Heck is I know. It's been that way all my life. No irregularities in the beat. Just fast.

yea gut it beating fast is overkill and unnecessary usage ... and if you exert yourself it speeds up even faster... I would be leary of that dr
