I don't spray any insecticides on my corn but I'm not a commercial producer.

I was just curious.......did your daughter do her veggie farm dealeo this spring? If so how is that coming for her
this year? Thanks!

She's not selling any vegetables this year cause the drought has taken its toll. She does have fresh eggs and babysitting services but you best book well ahead cause she is pretty busy. (Still haven't explained to her that she needs to be giving a portion of her income to Sammy. Am afraid if I do she will sit down and just play Ninetendo or Wii)

for a small patch the local sweet corn gurus tell me that you can put mineral oil on the silks when they emerge and retreat after every rain and it will substantively cut problems with ear worms.

I have not tried it as I have not raised any sweet corn in two years.

when it comes in I can buy it from the big local growers cheaper than i can grow it.
