My grandmother, when she was alive and able, used to sit around and tat all the time. Tried to show us how, but she was left handed and we weren't. We were also very very young.

Sure wish I'd payed more attention to Mom and Dad and their friends---Uncle Fed and Aunt Sal(no kin) drove a covered wagon into Texas to settle.. They were a bit older than my folks...Uncle Fed could work 3 20year olds into the ground..He was 90..

I used to like to sit with my Gran and do Tatting for hours made some lovely lace, still have a table cloth we made about 44 years ago, and all the tatting pegs.
thanks for the reminder of this memory Peg.

2. High thread count is good both in sheets and a Forum

3.An embrodery stitch (or) a yeast roll (thats what Mom called them)
