Would i be safe in spraying a bermuda pasture with 2,4,D now and then fertilizing and maybe liming if needed and then trying to seed some legumes (lespedeza and clover) afterwards? It usually grows up thick with weeds early and i would like to knock them down this year, but i also want to try and introduce some legumes. I sent off some soil samples today, but i won't get them back for maybe 2 wks. Would it be too late for the clover and lespedeza by then?

If the weeds are acxtively growing and not flowering spraying now will work. If they are a strictly winter weed (hen bit, etc) just ignore them

Like Dun said. Id your weeds before you start trying to kill them. This time of year your apt to only kill something that the heat will kill naturally. Just a thought.
