Sold my show winning polled South Devon bull at the weekend, to a man that breeds some of our country's best Santa Gertrudis. This bull was the third polled South Devon he has bought off us. He crosses them over Santas and Santa/Charolais cows to give him softness and allows them to finish off earlier.He loses no scale by using the SD. Keeps the magnificent temperament.Love the SDs.

Sold 9 pure registered SD heifers all 10/11 months old for $2,000 a head straight out of the paddock. No agents= no commission. The young couple that bought them looked over the fence into our show team paddock and wanted some of our next years show heifers. They are worth a little more than the ones he bought. Any way I'd say he'll come back again.
Selling 5 polled SD bulls next week at a combined Hereford and SD sale. Hopefully they will go OK.

Took 5 sold five. Topped the offering with a polled bull at $7,000 averaged $4,250. not too bad for a mornings work.

Our money varies as you would expect but it usually ranges from, each US dollar is worth from 74 to 76 cents of our money. We get really good prices for our cattle when the US dollar is about 55 cents. Prices are not too bad despite the high dollar.
