Yep. Demand is growing at a faster rate then Angus or Simm....dang sure faster than for red Hereford. Great prices y'all got on them! There are quite a few Red Angus, Angus, or Simmental production or association sales online every day, and most of their sales prices are inline with these... some less. There are a couple of Charolais sales on line, too, and they don't sell anywhere close to these prices, unless they are red Charolais. What did the top lot on the opens sell for? I have been looking for some registered Red Char cows for a client, and they are hard to find. Had to settle for some 20-mos old, 3 month bred heifers. Dang $3200 each! They were homo for no dilute gene, and polled, and were AI'-ed for heifers calves to a homo for no dilute, homo for polled bull ( Not their sire, either! !! LOL ). You know how old those 5 open commercials were?

Congratulations on having a successful event, and sharing the results with us.

Top open lot was $5,600 but she was a show prospect. Mighty fine heifer!!! Behind her, 1 was $3600. I sold 8 opens and they averaged $2550.

All 5 commercials were 10-12 months.
