we have what is basically a productive hobby herd, AI a couple of cows, raise their bull calves to freezer size and sell beef. Occasionally we buy an extra steer or two if we're short of steers for the year. I enjoy the AI sire picking, because I can use something different every time if it doesn't work. Well, this is my favorite calf (structurally) yet. Commercial Brangus dam, 62% Aberdeen sire. 1 month old. My only point against him is he definitely has a big flight zone. He'll probably end up a steer eventually, but I'll enjoy watching him grow for the time being.
