Six weights at a local auction here (Athens, Tennessee) just brought $1.27 yesterday. Same heifers only brought $1.07. I think I may keep all of my heifers as replacements.

2014 here aged bred cows were easy $16-$1800. Now they are selling by the pound at $.65-75/#

I'm going to go-to a sale tomorrow just to look at the cattle and see what they sell for. But also see how they sell. Are they old boner cows or are they nice 4-5yr old cows.

For me it's the hardest thing.... Keep her or them and see in 30,60,90 days blah blah. Almost Everytime I get it stuck to me for holding on so long. I've gotten way better at culling opens, short bread and dinks. I have to say my place runs better and looks better when I force myself to listen to myself lol.

It seems that prices were better Saturday in Greenville than in Athens on Wednesday.
