Just a hint for anyone getting into the cattle business. To find good ideas of where to start you breeding program. Get as many sale catalogs as you can for your breed. Analyze why these folks breed cows with certain pedigrees and epd to certain bulls. It can really help you get a place to start. You may not agree with some of the things the breeders do, but you can use something from most breeders. Go on the net to find the catalogs or call the farm. Remember just because you aren't going to buy an animal it doesn't mean the breeder isn't benifiting from you having their catalog. They will be more than happy to send you one. Good Luck
