I bought a heifer and when I picked her up she was just getting over a case of ringworm. Not good. I have her isolated but would like to get her out with the rest of the heifers. The ringworm is dead as far as I can tell, and most of the sores look to be healing. My questions: When will it be safe to put her with my other heifers, and How long after the time the ringworm looks dead do I need to keep the infected individual away from its peers? I know that if it pops up in-herd they'll all get it, but I since she is from another herd I definantly want to prevent the animals already here from getting ringworm.
