Relief and renewal finally after some rain -pics

Help Support CattleToday:

FS, we like how quickly she's growing too!! :)
I think she may be a fairly good sized animal someday...
She definitely isn't going to have a small frame.

I wish we could send you some of our rain we have had plenty this year. We have some folks starting to complain that we are having to much, not be after three years of dry I am thrilled to have rain even if it is every day. Your cattle look in good shape to be running on short grass.

So... Getting to be as dry as a fart again. (I hope all farts would be dry...)
ONE MORE good dose of rain could help us a ton.
Here is Pearl thinking the grass is greener on the other side.
There are a few girls that have mastered the art of grazing under the fences.
Poor things must have taken a bit of practice to get it down

Your grass may be short, but it's still plenty green.

nice view and good looking cows. why do they all have choker chains on ??
Thank you.
They aren't choker chains, just collars. The old collars started falling apart and my brother just replaced them with chains.
We used to be a dairy farm about 20+ years ago and in winter we bring them all in (last year we had a few bigger ones left out) saves a lot of calories and feed if they aren't burning them up just being exposed to the elements. As long as we have a tie stall barn, may as well use it we figure.
So that is why they all have a collar of some sort.

Thank you JW and Chuckie.
We had a fellow come from 45 minutes away come purchase a couple black BB/Simmy heifers from us to breed to Angus in his operation.

He wanted in the worst way to buy Miracle too but my brother told him that would not be possible.
She is not yet weaned and I don't think I wish to part with her either :)

I will admit... when he was talking to me on the phone and told me that the guy already bought Morgan, who he didn't originally plan on selling, and then he told me that they really wanted Miracle, I was freaking out inside a little bit!!

In other news, today we AIed Miracle's dam to the same sire.
Really hoping for a repeat! :)
