If they get around good, in the end that's all that matters. Our current herd bull is a bit straight (a Brahman trait), but is still very free moving and long striding. I would say your bull breeds true..they are a pretty uniform group. Good luck with them! :)
yep, it is

I thought I would post the sire to these calves.

Several of you have mentioned the consistency in the calves. That is one advantage to using a Red Poll bull on you commercial cows. The Red Poll genetics are not diluted down like other breeds so their offspring all look alike.

A couple of other things to think about. These are commercial cattle to be raised for meat on the table they are not "show cattle". If you do the math these calves were probably just 5 months old when the pictures were taken so I would say the hybrid vigor is really showing up in these calves.

I would suspect their WWs to be very high

Just weaned and weighed these today.

The first one - black hfr #40 753 lb - 221 days
red Steer # 49 690 lb - 180 days
Steer # 45 776 lb - 190 days
hfr # 43 639 lb - 207 days
hfr # 46 649 lb - 188 days
hfr # 47 592 lb - 180 days

I think they are developing well and I'm happy with these weights.

Overall the red poll cross steers (7) averaged 710 lb, ave day of age 195 and the heifers (9) averaged 650 lb ave day of age 203
