A short time ago I visited the D.R., and I found it very interesting to see the diffrent ways they raise cattle down there. This picture is of one of the better farms I saw. Most of the cattle we ran into were very sickly looking, eventhough they have some of the best grass I have ever seen.

Things have changed in the Dominican since I was there. Everyone had automatic weapons standing around there shacks protecting them from us terrible Americans and Canadians. Your pictures don't show any of that. I don't see any mopeds either. Mopeds with 100 lb LP tanks strapped to the back sideways that is. What a wild place to visit it was that was in 1992 however. I'm sure they have tamed it down a bit with more tourists arriving. We landed on a dirt runway and they threw our luggage out of the plane onto the ground into a pile. I can still picture the dust just rolling up from under the tires of the plane when we touched down scary to say the least.
