sorry to change subject, but this is as close to subject as I could find. trying to strech hay to make it through winter. started feeding approx 2.5 lbs of feed per head per day, have protein blocks out, minerals, & hay. will run out of hay, and found some cornstalks that were baled, (did a lot of that around here this year), and thought I would feed a bale of stocks along with a bale of fescue/clover mix, while keeping feed, blocks & minerals up. will make them clean up bales pretty well before putting out another, and after ice melts will hope they forage more. is this a solid plan, and is there any problems to watch for? they are due to calve in March.
