I hope this is the correct board to place this on. We raise a few beef and a few months ago we lost a rather large calf during birth. We grafted a three way cross dairy bull calf on her (heifer). Well that dang thing has done its job and is now eating me out of house and home - time to sell it! My question - how much is he worth? He is a healthy 250 or so pounds and has been well fed, castrated, and vaccinated.
I am located in NE Ohio and I really have no idea what this type of steer should sell for?
Any help would be great.
thanks in advance

Tom, I dont know your area, but in sw Missouri, a 250 lb bull calf can bring from 1.20 per pound if it shows alot of dairy to 1.50 per pound if it shows only a little dairy, to 1.70 per pound if it doesnt show any dairy. The small calf price has really gone up alot in the last 30 days. Hard to say for sure without a pic, but it should bring considerably more than you paid for it.
