Looking through seed catalog, trying to plan crop for next year and have a question about an orchard grass description.
The sentence says "It reaches 50% anthesis approximately 4 days later then Potomac, and 5 days earlier than Pennlate"
What does anthesis mean?
Next question ~ sentence says "The 8 parent clones of Icon were selected on the basis of NRS quality data, plus poly-cross progeny data for high forage and seed yield."
I understand all but "NRS" and can't find it referenced in catalog.
What does NRS stand for?
Thanks for your help!
