Beautiful pictures. Nice cattle.

Sure are a lot of rocks. Wow. Looks like it would take a long time to get a field cleared for hay.

Lots of rocks and no grass! How long have they been in that paddock? Your obviously not in a drought because the grass looks real green, just no growth.

Nice photos. I like the traditional spotted Simmentals. Kind of nice to see that they haven't turned black everywhere. Here in the states it's hard to know what your looking at.

Well theres alot of grass and it grows well, it´s just short but its high on energy. We get payed here in the EU to keep cattle on this so called naturall pastures (rocky and lots of trees), but to get payed the grass must be keept short and no new bushes is allowed to grow. And we are don´t allowed to use any herbicides on this pastures.

This paddock is 60 acres an been used for 1,5 month.

Nice cattle........what are you doing with the manure? :D I didn't see any in the pics. Did you clean it all up just for the camera? ;-)

Edde,

I enjoyed your photos very much.

How different cattle production is in your location compared to mine. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Beautiful photos! I wish we could visit your country and
the others in your neighborhood.

~

Please put a few stamps on one of those Simmental Bull Calves and mail him to me. I'll trade you some pure Vermont Maple Syrup.

Great photos as usual.

Your cows ROCK~!!

Those can't be simmentals, they aren't black :)

Just kidding.
It is nice to see pictures of the real thing.

My question is that if you aren't allowed to let the grass grow tall and can't use herbicides, How do you keep new weeds or brush down????

I dont know how to explain it in english. But in sweden we call it high pasture-pressure, keep many cattle on the pastureland and put them out on the pastureland early in the spring.

hey eddie.. What part of Sweden is that in? I gotta brother over there, and was over there last summer. I love that country.. its pure beauty.
