The ADOT sure does quality work. Just like ODOT!!
The ODOT crews here have shovels that have crooked handles. It is OSHA saftey protocol to turn them and lean on them the other way for a period of 2 weeks. That will straighten them out and reduce the risk of injury from a broken shovel handle.

He-he!!! Yeah, the one man digging is so fast that he has to have the other ten guys leaning on the shovels to keep him a safe one ready to go. I think the regulations are the same in all states, including the TDOT division. He-he!!!!

something tells me that possum is not playing.. 8)

Rare Camillianous Opposumus Asphaltious Stripenious. They have the ability to flatten themselves out too and almost be invisable. That is why they are so rarely seen.

Not to be a wet blanket <again> ;-)

That isn't Litchfield Park, Arizona. I'm from Scottsdale, AZ, born and raised, and lived in Litchfield Park some 3 years while I was stationed at Luke Air Force Base on active duty. That terrain ain't central AZ.

Funny pic though.

Looks like it could be Arizona to me in the wnter. No foilage on the trees except for the evergreens. And who would know where Litchfield Park is unless it was real? If you notice that photo is from 1985. Long before Litchfield was a decent town. But what would I know I only spent 31 years in Glendale/Peoria area.

Don't recognize the road - Litchfield's pretty small town, and sparesely populated. At least as of 3 years ago, bordered on the west by Litchfield Park Drive, north by Peoria Ave, South by McDowell Road and east by 99th Ave. All these roads are 2 lanes each direction with a 2 way left.
Also noticed the overhead power lines - the only one's I know of run along Litchfield Park Road and McDowell Road - everything else is buried service as is typical in AZ. I did part time work for Arizona Public Service in the Litchfield/Glendale/Surprise/Goodyear area so I'm pretty familiar with the lines ;-)
