Eli the Kelpie pup is about 4 months old now. He's adjusted well to city life but his instincts come out every so often. He tried to bring some magpies to me at the park the other week. Impressive cast so I'm torn about whether to try him with sheep but the fact is I won't likely need to do any sheep/cattle work. Trying him would be more for interests sake.

He's very smart, learns quickly and will return to me even when around other dogs at the park (most of the time). He's very cheeky and has his hyper puppy moments but he's a lovely little fella.

There is a bit of a love hate thing going with those 2. Some days they're friendly, sometimes Fatty doesn't want a bar of him. The other cat likes to chase him and beat him up.

He is great company. I'm glad I spent the time with him I did when I first got him, it's made all the difference.

Just a snap from the RSPCA Million Paws walk today. He walked 5kms and is very tired. So much from working dog.

Whenever I take the dogs into the groomers the girls get a pretty bow for their collar and the Bo get a snazzy bandanna.. They don't mind it either .

Ha, I was there with my uni team and I was pressured into it, much to my protest. He is a bit of a metro really. He definitely likes girls though.

He was pretty overwhelmed yesterday. There was something like 30,000 other dogs and 45,000 people. The final amount was probably bigger but those were the online preregister amounts.

New pic. He's about 8 months old now. Hasn't grown into his ears. Has lost his testicles however. Shame, but there's too many unwanted kelpie/ kelpie cross pups around as it is.

Few more, Here's Eli on Dad's ute for the first time. We were out collecting mallee roots for firewood. He loved it, it appears I have to trade my hatchback in for a ute now The other dog is Dad's old huntaway (nz stock breed). Unfortunately she came off the ute a few weeks ago and hurt her back and hips so had to be put down. She was about 12yrs old.

Just another update. Eli's now about 13mths old. Every day he's becoming a bit more obedient. Still has his off days though :lol2: . He's proving to be incredibly loyal and very intelligent although most of his intelligence is just going to tricks at the moment.
