But Black Hereford is a black baldy with papers and they are still crossbred.

Not exactly. The latter may be true, but not the former: http://www.blackhereford.com/percentageChart.html
They are still made up of Hereford and Black Angus...same animal and it's a market scam.

Sure, just like CAB's a scam. But saying that they're the "same animal," i.e., an F1 Hereford Angus cross is eligible for registration in the Black Hereford breed registry is not true. Physically they appear be the "same animal," yes, but not genetically. That's the point I'm trying to make but you keep missing.

RBB, maybe, but sometimes if a body's got nothing else better to do... :compute:

this is a gelbvieh x (shorthorn x herford) bull calf with his gelbveih dad in the back

I'd like to see some good Limo and Saler pics as well.. maybe there are some I've missed but with my connection that runs at USPS speed, I'll have to wait to check on it

I got a pic of an old saler cow eating cake out of my hand. She is the old red horned type back when my grandpa had nothing but saler cattle and bulls. I dont know how to put it on here though. When i am out in them ill see if i can get a pic of her and a heifer she gave me that out of her and a angus bull.

Lon, if you have a photobucket account it's as easy as pie (the new version is a bigger pain in the ass than the old version, though). With the new PB version, run your mouse over the picture of choice, select "Copy links" (or something like that), click on that, then a window will come up with your choice of links to click on. Clicking on whatever link you select will automatically copy it. Best to click on img link or img code one. Then go to here, in a message, right click then select paste.

For the old version, simply rolling over the pic of your choice will bring up the choice of links (or "codes" rather) to select to copy. Do similar to what I mentioned above.

I'm looking for the following pictures still for these breeds:

Hereford
Brangus
Red Brangus
Australian Brangus (if there's much a difference between American and Australian Brangus...)
Chiangus
Black Baldy/Black Hereford
German Angus
Red Angus (I know there's some here already but it'd be nice to see some more...)

And some others I can't think offhand but will list later. If there's not many responses, I may have to find pictures on here and PM some of you for permission to use such pictures. Especially the Hereford and RA folks. :)

Thanks all those who have submitted their pictures and PM'd me about them so far.

Bumping this up to see if there's anybody still wanting to post some pictures for this breed page project I'm still working on. I am for sure doing the above breeds and black baldy. But no hurry in the pictures.

You can use these if you want.

That's a stocky girl... reminds me of an Ace Reid cartoon of the cowpokes saying they'd have to get longer legged cattle or smoother pastures
