Help Support CattleToday:

Tell us what you're looking at we'll be glad to jump right on in. The biggest things to remember:
1) Feeder cattle are sold BY THE POUND - it is usually written as $125/cwt - that means one hundred twenty five dollars for every one hundred pounds which is the same as $1.25 per pound. Ex. A 500 pound steer that sells for $125/cwt would cost you $625.00.
2) Springer cows, cow/calf pairs and service age bulls are GENERALLY sold BY THE HEAD. This means that if a springer comes in the ring and they ask you $600 - that is exactly what you would pay.

Anything else - just fire away and I'm sure that one of can answer it.
