Moving a semi trailer without a truck

Has anyone ever come up with a simple way to move a semi trailer around with a tractor?
I was looking around for a way to go 3 point to king pin, but of course the pin is 2 feet behind the front of the box.
I used my 3 point gooseneck, into a hole in the trailers hitch plate. She moves it but of course turning is not an option.
Maybe I could set the pin down into a receiver on top of a deckover trailer?
I might just have to take the bed off my dump truck or get a buddy out with a truck.

They make trailer dollys that work, but you may not want to spend the money on one.

I caged the brakes

It sat where it was for about 10 or 15 years, just need to move it across the farm probably about a mile or so

Is the trailer empty? Use the loader if it has the capacity rating. For a mile I would hire it done.
