Help Support CattleToday:

I don't think there really is a difference although my feed store only carries the Aureomycin pellets.

What are you feeding it for?

Terramycin is oxytetracycline.Aureomycin is chloratetracycline. They are different, but used the same in most cases.

We feed aureomycin to prevent foot rot, I own a feed store and one of my suppliers wants me to try Terramycin as an Antibiotic. They are both just different formulations of CTC. I was just woundering what other people thought of it.

Only a personal opinion but I think both are pretty worthless. I'm sure others have had great luck with it. CTC mixed in a feed at a high enough level to do some good is sometimes beneficial for shipping fever etc but you need 300 g/ton minimum.
