My neighbour told me some six
weeks ago that one of his calf
heifers contracted lumpy skin
disease.This week I saw small
lumps on the inner thighs of two
of my calf steers.Me and my
neighbour had a look at it and
came to the conclusion that it
was lumpy skin disease.His calf
was successfully treated with
an antibiotic given to him by a
vet.Is it possible that the
disease could be carried over a
distance of 500m to my steers?
