Locking threads

I am usually avoiding any discussion involving politics, wether its USA politics or Cattle Today politics, and I respect the rules set by Macon for this site. However recently there has been a bit of a trend, a certain member (who is believed to be a moderator by the vast majority) replies to a post, starts a discussion and then the thread will be locked down. Look at the "Jogee" thread for an example.

This makes me wonder... how interesting it would be to see who the moderator was that locked those threads down.

You're right, there is a trend, but I wouldn't say it's recent. Been going on since I've been around and I would suspect longer than that. Seems to happen in bunches. As CB said, it's probably the same person. I don't know who it is and I'm not sure I want to.

:lol: :lol: Yes, I'm looking forward to my re-education. They assure me they will be able to turn the capitalistic pig into a good socialist and I will again be able to partake in meaningful without stepping outside the pale of politcal correctness. Here is a picture of my new college I'll be going to. I think the wire and such is for my own protection from wolves and such - least that's what they told me.

Yes I got that too from your original post Knersie but just wanted to play along with Jo, being incognito. :cowboy:
Hubby is from Holland ,and all his family is still there. He came to Alberta in 1989, and became a citizen last year.I can not speak dutch very well at all , but can read it and get the basic idea of what is being said. But as for writing in Dutch I am helpless so Mr. HD translated what I wanted to say, I cheated. ;-)

Also I was told what Knersie means, is it a fitting name for your dog? :lol2:

I find it hard to beleive Jo's post was political enough to lock down when others blatantly advertise on the boards and nobody says a word. Like; could any body tell me how to market my Bla Bla Bla. But then I don't own these boards and I am not the judge.
Could be that the statement was so good that it covered all the bases and nobody could add anything better. After all they did let the post stay for everyone to read.
Could be there was one more post that locked it down that they in fact erased.
