I can tell you where this will eventually lead and it is all good.
My son asked if he could buy a calf of his own when he was 12. I told him as long as he helped on the farm he would not have to pay any cost other than the purchase price and his would he treated the same as the others.
He is 27 now and the best friend a person could have. Graduated from college top 10 in his class, starting his own business and adjusts his schedule to help here when needed.
Family is what we raise. Cattle are a side note.
