Little bit of maintenance and clean up

Help Support CattleToday:

They also go bad and don't seal right I have about 30 I order and keep on hand. It's always the gas cap oil is always good
That is a lot. You can put a new seal on and sometimes will help. I am like you as I like the screw on caps of the older saws better.

Just fixed a couple Husky's for a neighbor an have a Stihl 064 stripped down trying to find an air leak. I usually can find them pretty quick, but this one is going to need a complete suds with a pressure test to find looks like as it is not at the obvious places. Also on a pressure/vacuum test the carb is going to need a kit as it did not pass. Everything else checked out so it will be a strong runner when I get the carb kit in and air leak stopped.

I like the filing system. ;)

I know were every part, tool, etc. is. I use to be a neat freak as I don't know what happened. One of these days I keep telling myself I am going to get caught up with this junk and do some organization.

Where do you find all these used saws? I been looking for a good used one on Craigslist and market place and haven't found anything worth buying. Looking for one with a 20" bar around 50 cc. I like the Husky 545 but haven't found one.

On a 50cc saw IMO new the best buy is a Echo CS-490 as I have had a couple. (parts are high) The Husky 545 is Auto tune as that maybe what you are wanting, they are nice.

I like the older non EPA saws either Stihl or Husky as here are a few I have owned.

Here are some 50cc Stihls

Should be a nice little tractor. I prefer the ind. tires on that size tractor. They give a little more stability and don't tear up yards so bad. They handle the weight on the loader better also but to each their own. Hydro trans is nice but takes a lot of power away so you gotta add 10-15 HP to compensate. Will it have a hyrdo-shuttle or just a straight gear transmission? You dealing with Trey or Parker? Seems everybody has their favorite there.

On the third valve is the factory one set up as a true additional function that works on bi directional switch? I think the Long one is just a switch that takes your curl function and diverts it to the grapple. If I were going to use a grapple a lot it would be worth the money for the true third function. A lot of times you need to roll and grapple at the same time.
