Lamb Question

Didn't really know where to post this so here goes:
I have very little knowledge of sheep - especially the processing of them. I am wondering if anyone can tell me what the dressing percentage is for lambs and goats. Someone told me that fifty percent is a good estimate but looking at these animals there just doesn't seem to be that much waste associated with them.
An ideas?

From my own experience 50% is a pretty good rule of thumb. Depending on breed and condition can be a couple percent more or less similar to cattle. Remember hanging weight, like cattle will be more.
