I picked up a day or two old holstein calf today and gave the usual LA200 and VitB complex right off the truck. It took a little (1 cup) electrolytes, but wasn't interesting in drinking.

This evening when I went to feed it wouldn't feed and his breathing was labored and a little raspy. We went ahead and tubed him to give him some nourishment.

Just wondering how long do I have to wait after the LA200 before I can give him Nuflor for the respiratory stuff? 24-48-72hrs.? He isn't scoury at all and seems fine otherwise.

By the time I can call the vet on Monday, the 72 hours will be over. Just wondering if I can give it sooner. :?:

Thanks for the advice.

Don't see any reason why you can't give it NOW. ;-) Penicillin is the only thing that's incompatible with oxytetracycline (LA200); Nuflor should be fine. Good luck with him. :)

Thanks Milkmaid. I knew you or someone on here would be able to clear my mind. I'm going out right now to give the Nuflor. That way maybe tomorrow will be a better day for him. :D
