the last 2 or 3yrs i went to school id drink my lunch.an that was a coke or drpepper.the last year id get a big chew of tobbacco an drink my lunch as i chewed my cude.an i rarely bought my cokes because guys would bet them.i was pretty good at standing on half court in the gym shooting 1 handed an making the shot.once i made 4 or of 5 shots.

edited to add: I loved school lunches and since most kids didn't like theirs I ate very well!!

Some home school kids do okay. Others don't know how to respond in the work place when they are chided. Most I know are engineers and when they have to deal with the work force they can't. Having a college education is strike against you to begin with when you deal with them. We all get chided. You have to know how to deal with it and not take everything serious or take it to heart. It is best if you can have fun with it and have fun with them because you will be dealing with them for years in the work place.

College is the most liberal place on earth. If the kids go to college, they are going to have to deal with "politically correct" anyway.

Everything in life is about choices and they will eventually have to make their own choices. Some are good. I hope yours are too. They are going to hear, "God is dead and the people that believe in him are backwards idiots" they same way you do. They will hear all of it - eventually. Prepare them and hope for the best.
