Last week I spent the whole night (full moon) and I saw 11 pigs. Between my buddy and I we shot 6 times...all clean misses

So I returned yesterday night for revange (previous checking the scope zeros..they were perfect  )

I was expecting something from a small creek that goes between the crops and the woods. A cow went "mooo" at my right and there I saw him, if not because the cow, I would have never seen him.

The ol' 30-06 went bang and the 180 grainer (partition) went through both shoulders and stopped just under the skin of the second shoulder.

There was a terrible fog so this picture taken at night is not very clear. That is my hunting buddy Federico in both pictures.

Does the meat of a big old wild boar like that have the same foul smell the meat of a domestic boar has?

Lorenzo,

As always you post the best pictures and you seem to be a man who knows how to have a great time. I have some questions about Uraguay though. Is it difficult to own firearms there? What are the citizens rights when it comes to firearm ownership? Is hunting pretty common and how dificult is it for you to get licenses and permits? How does the bulk of Uraguay's citizens and government feel about the private ownership of firearms?

I love the pics and the country looks to be very beautifull and the cattle genetics that you post pictures of are pretty awesome also. If firearm ownership is like the USA I may move to Uraguay if the US continues on it's socialist path :D
