I have a jersey heifer that is due a calf any day. One of her quarters is a little tighter than the other three, I can squirt liquid out of three of the teets, good. The other teet, I can get a severl drops, the liquid I get out of it looks the same as I get out of the other teets. Its not bloody or nasty looking. Her udder is not hot or feverish, Should I call a vet now or should I wait till she calves? Can a heifer get masitius ??spelling???? before they calve? Am I over reacting? I haven"t just tried to milk a bucket full, I just pulled on each teet, the one just seemed harder and got a few drops.

Leave her alone until she calves. Don't mess with her udder before calving.

Besides that heifers tend to bag up unevenly. One quarter swells more than another, next day it's the other way around.
