Very nice looking calves. Why are they separated from their mamas?

The calves can go see their mother as they want, we put straw in parts of the barn reserve for them, it's hotter there too. We have cold barns on chip wood or peat moss and the calves prefer straw.

I love looking at housed cattle, they look so cosy in that barn. You have a great setup and cattle. Is it much work keeping things cleaned up?

Yes it's a lot of work, I lost 10 pounds since the Christmas vacations!
