How many cows can a bull service in a 3 month period? Angus Bull is 18 months old. I have 25 cows and heifers in the field for him to lay claim to.

From about 15 months to maturity it is usually stated he can breed 1 cow per month of age without any problems. So at 18 months 25 cows might be too many.

I'm not sure what you mean by "to maturity" but an 18 month old angus bull is mature and definitely capable of breeding 25 cows-- especially over a 3 month period. I would suggest you get your bull checked, as you should with any bull regardless of age. If he has a viable count, you're good to go.

I would think an 18 month old bull should be able to service 25 cows over 90 days.

Especially a British breed like Angus - he should mature earlier than other breeds.
