I finally registered to be on this forum but have been reading posts for about 4 years. So, thank you all for the tips.

I'm from Stockdale, Tx. I was born and raised in the country. My grandpa had a few cows but other than roping steers I never really had any until about 4-5 years ago when we bought our current property.

Sounds like good advice Brute. I haven't been in SA bay yet. My last boat didn't run shallow. I recently bought a Dargel Skout. It has electronics but I have another Fish finder with a bigger screen. I may put that one on as well just for navigating. I do plan on learning SA bay as well.

I have an older Skout also. They run very shallow. You won't have any issues.
