It is wise for you to give this level of attention to the safety of the animal and not to mention.... YOURSELF ! Safety chains on the headgate when adjusted and used properly will keep the cow from moving around too much and causing a very unsafe condition with a needle. You as the care-giver are left with the responsibility of taking safety precautions to prevent these unnecessary injuries. Thanks for thinking of the safety issues at hand. Sometimes; unfortunately, safety measures get lost in our busy lives.
